The photographer I picked is Mariette Roodenburg. She is part of the Anderson Gallery in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. She plays with light and shadow to make simple photos interesting. She gets inspired by the feeling of calmness in a place or in a moment. Her photos are very diverse, from urban streets to calming waves, yet allways give you a sense of tranquility.
